The trope is only good if they were already circling — pollen between strangers is mechanics. What makes Sex pollen land
- They must already want it. The pollen removes the excuse for not doing it, not the reason for wanting to.
- Someone should try very hard to hold out, and be visibly unpleasant about it — that hour is the best part.
- Write the morning after. Whether it counted is the whole question and the trope collapses without it.
How far it goes

- Can it be a spell instead of pollen?
- Yes — potion, curse, spore, alien atmosphere or a drink someone arranged. Say which and the mechanism changes; the trope doesn't.
- Is any of this public?
