Romance story generator
A romance story generator writes the whole arc — meeting, wanting, resisting, giving in — with the explicit scenes fully written.
Romance is the container the rest of this site fits inside. What separates it from a scene is time: obstacles, misreadings, a middle where it looks like it won't happen. SecretPen writes the arc and then doesn't fade out at the bedroom door, which is the one thing mainstream romance AI reliably does.

Three openings to steal
Click one and it lands in the desk, already typed. Change any word you like — it's a starting line, not a script.
Fake, initially
The arrangement is for one wedding and one weekend and we have a written list of rules about it, and by Saturday lunchtime three of the rules have quietly stopped applying.

Second time round
We were together for four years a decade ago and it ended badly, and now we are the only two people in a lift, and neither of us has pressed a button.

The real reason
She keeps giving me sensible reasons why this can't happen, and they are all true, and none of them is the actual one — and tonight I ask her for the actual one.

What makes Romance land
- An obstacle that isn't a misunderstanding. Give them a real reason it can't work.
- The near-miss chapter is what earns the payoff — don't skip it.
- Explicit scenes should advance the relationship, not pause it.
How far it goes
Contemporary and historical romance, enemies-to-lovers, friends-to-lovers, second chances, slow burn, forced proximity, fake dating, marriage of convenience, small-town and workplace romance, fantasy and paranormal romance, and every heat level from a single closed-door chapter to explicit throughout. Every character is an adult.
How it works
01
Say it in one line
One sentence is enough. Who's in the room, and what has already been decided between them.
02
Set the dial
Tone, heat, point of view, length. Or skip it — the defaults are tuned for people who'd rather just read.
03
Keep going
Chapter one arrives in seconds. Steer the next one, change your mind, or let it run.
Nobody else reads this.
SecretPen has no public feed, no community rankings, and no way for one reader to see another's stories. Whatever you write here stays in your account — that's the whole point of the name.
Start writing →Questions
- Can I control the heat level?
- Yes — from slow burn with one explicit chapter to fully explicit throughout. Say which and it holds it for the whole story.
- Will it fade to black?
- Only if you ask it to. By default the explicit scenes are written in full, which is the difference between this and general-purpose AI romance.
- Is any of this public?
- No. SecretPen has no public feed, no community rankings and no sharing — there is no mechanism by which one reader can see another reader's stories. Everything you write stays in your account.
- How explicit does it get?
- As explicit as you ask for. There is no fade to black and no lecture. The only limits are the hard lines in our content guidelines: everyone is an adult, nobody real, nothing illegal.
- Do I have to pay to try it?
- No. You can write your first story free. Paid plans exist for people who write a lot of them.

Every character SecretPen writes is a consenting adult. See our content guidelines for the lines that never move.
