What makes Enemies to lovers land
- The hatred needs a reason you could defend in writing. "He's arrogant" is not a reason; "he took the account she spent two years building" is.
- Let them be good at the fight. The attraction is that neither one can win, and both of them know it.
- The first crack should be involuntary — a look held a half second long, a compliment that escapes before it can be stopped.
