What makes Brat land
- The brat must be good. Give the line real wit — a comeback that lands makes the consequence hotter, not softer.
- The dominant should be amused before they're annoyed. Rising to it too fast means they lost.
- Somewhere in the middle, let the brat get exactly what she was angling for and pretend she didn't.

- Does the punishment have to be harsh?
- No. Say "playful, nobody's actually in trouble" and it stays light; say "she means it this time" and the register changes completely.
- Is any of this public?
